THE CONE OF LEARNING

NEVER BE LAZY IN LEARNING

From spending most of my down time listening to great men and women of success, it has become a daily ritual to wake up early and ready for my next big challenge. There is a thrill that comes with understanding education as a personal design process rather than a burden you must get through it just so you can then find a job. Learning only becomes a passion once you can tap into your core desires and find your true purpose,it is founded on a strong faith and belief in one's ability to achieve that purpose fully and completely without a shadow of a doubt.

There are 4 types of people; those who must be Liked
                                              those who must be Right
                                              those who must be Comfortable
            and                            those who must Win                                 Robert Kiyosaki

A.H. Maslow said that most people are motivated by their lowest unfulfilled need in a fairly well-defined hierarchy in human society. Furthermore he pointed out that once one level is largely though not necessarily fully satisfied, then the next level of needs will automatically begin to influence behavior. Below is a list of Maslow's cone of learning from the highest to the lowest level;

1.Self Actualization

Fulfillment through realization of potential and personal goals. Doing what it is that one truly does best.

2.Esteem

Having the utmost respect for oneself and also for others, it is found in possessing the ability to do and achieve what you want without imposing on other people's rights.

3.Social

Feeling of belonging to a social group of similar interests and values, human contact, affection and friendship.

4.Security

absence of threats, safety, a roof over one's head, familiarity and acceptance.

5.Physiological

These are the most basic human needs; air, food, water, warmth, sex, sleep.

There have been many interpretations/representations of the cone of learning and above is an awesome video based on Robert Kiyosaki's own rendition of it.
